Frequently Asked Questions...

WHY CARBON FIBER?

Carbon fiber is lighter and 3 times stronger than aluminum and for this reason is highly desired for a variety of applications. Carbon fiber does not transfer cold and hot temperatures like aluminum and does not slip when wet.

WHAT VALUE DOES IT BRING?

Primate Pool Tools are of superior quality and long-lasting durability and that equates to value. With the Primate Pool Tool you will notice that more energy transfers to your pole and is not lost to flexing and bending. That means less stress for you and less trips to replace your pole. Read our reviews.

HOW LONG DOES THE PRIMATE 3X LAST?

The P3X was designed to last 2-3 times longer than a comparable aluminum pole.
Follow our simple product care guidelines. Your pole could potentially last for years but wear and tear ultimately depends on the care given by the user.

WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE LEVER LOCK AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Primate Pool Tool lever lock was designed to make it easy to extend and adjust the pole in a few quick steps. Adjusting the lever lock correctly is the most important thing to learn about using the pole. How to adjust the lever lock.
With the Primate 3X you (1) Flip open the lever lock and extend the 2nd tube. (2) Flip the lever down to lock. (3) Push the snap lock in on the end of the 2nd tube and extend tube 3 and snap into place. There are less than half the actions necessary to extend and collapse the Primate 3 compared to the comparable triple telescoping poles on the market.

IS THE POLE INDESTRUCTIBLE?

Carbon fiber is ultra strong and the Primate Pool Tool is reinforced with fiberglass inside and out. It was designed for pool maintenance but it can be damaged by scraping against abrasive surfaces, pool coping, sharp edges and leveraging against solid objects while extended. Use it as you would your old style aluminum pole. It is a high performance tool made of quality material and should be treated with care.

WHY AREN’T THERE MORE LENGTH ADJUSTMENT HOLES IN THE THIRD EXTENSION?

The Primate 3X was designed to be simpler to use and works differently (see how to use the lever lock instructions in the user manual). Average 3 extension poles normally extend the first two extensions and use the 3rd extension if needed. With the P3X the 2nd extension is the variable. If you need more than 2 tubes extended and less than 3, extend the 3rd tube all the way and use the 2nd tube as the variable. This allows you to use the easy lever lock to make all your length adjustments.
