IS THERE A WARRANTY?
Primate Poles come with a two year pro rated warranty that covers defects in materials or workmanship by repairing or replacing the tube or hardware in question. Please email photos of your issue to request a warranty replacement. After 30 days from the purchase date the user is responsible for covering the shipping costs of any warranty replacements. The warranty does not cover losing your pole, theft, or breaking tubes from using it in ways outside conventional methods recommended in the user manual.
WHY CARBON FIBER?
Carbon fiber has the strength of steel with the weight of aluminum, and for this reason is a highly desired material for a variety of applications. They key difference between an aluminum pole and our carbon fiber design is performance. The Primate Pole’s strength to weight ratio as well as flexibility, allows for superior control from handle to tool end. Additionally, carbon fiber does not transfer cold and hot temperatures like aluminum, does not slip when wet, and does not dent or warp.
WHAT VALUE DOES IT BRING
Primate Poles are made from superior quality materials which ensure long-lasting durability. With the Primate Pole you will notice the energy transfer from handle to tool end is very efficient, this is because the Primate Pole can flex but cannot bend or warp like aluminum. That means less stress for you and less trips to replace your pole. Read our reviews.
Can the custom designs scratch off easily?
No, our custom designs are printed on a special material and baked into the carbon fiber tubing. They are also protected by a tough clear coat of fiberglass. Ultimately after some time, yes, you will be able to wear down to this printed layer, however it will take plenty of damage until it reaches this point. You can always replace the individual tube with a fresh print down the line!
HOW LONG DOES A PRIMATE POLE LAST?
Generally speaking, you can count on your Primate Pole to last at least 3 times longer than the typical lifespan of your aluminum pole. We highly recommend following our product care guidelines. Your pole could potentially last for years but wear and tear ultimately depends on the care given by the user.
WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE LEVER LOCK AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Primate Pole lever lock was designed to make it easy to extend and adjust the pole with one easy action! Our lever lock is ergonomic, and opens/locks down along the length of the pole. There is enough leverage on the lever to flick it open and closed with ease regardless of how tight you have it adjusted. Adjusting the lever lock correctly is the most important thing to learn about using the Primate pole. (1) Flip open the lever lock and extend the second tube. (2) Flip the lever down to lock. If it feels loose/slides you can adjust the tension of the lever by turning the black thumbscrew on the lever clockwise. Make small tensions adjustments, check tightness of the lock with each adjustment until it is dialed in.
IS THE POLE INDESTRUCTIBLE?
Although the Primate Pole is strong, it was designed for pool maintenance only. It can be damaged by repeatedly scraping against abrasive surfaces or leveraged against pool coping and solid objects while extended. Use it as you would any aluminum pole with the assurance it will wear down much slower than aluminum, but do not try and test it’s strength outside of typical service work. It is a high performance tool made of quality materials and should be treated with care.
Is carbon fiber a conductor of electricity?
Yes. Carbon fiber does conduct electricity. It is not as good of a conductor as most metals, but can conduct electricity nevertheless. Although there is some fiberglass within our Primate Poles, it is still largely made up of graphite.
